Upper shelf is furniture construction on cabinet top. They include not only simple shelves but also wall shelves above computer desk or kitchen wall shelves. Upper shelves can be created for straight, bevel and corner cabinets.

Some upper shelf parameters are the same as cabinet parameters. Some parameters can be set by the user. E.g. upper shelf width for straight or bevel cabinet always coincides with cabinet width, but its construction, depth and height can be arbitrary. Interior fittings of upper shelf include vertical dividers and detachable shelves. Vertical dividers can be placed in two ways:

  • above corresponding dividers of the main cabinet;
  • the only divider is in the middle of upper shelf.

Detachable shelves number is the same in all sections and can be set by designer.

Corner cabinet upper shelf can reproduce its structure (except tubes and drawers), or it can be completely different.

Upper shelf construction may include hinged and sliding doors. Upper shelf doors design can coincide with cabinet doors construction or they may differ.

Corner section is construction that is joined to left or right cabinet side. Its height and depth may coincide with cabinet height and depth and fixed horizontal panels are used as its interior fittings. Corner sections can be joined to cabinet and upper shelves as well.

Corner section back wall and shelves can be rectangular, trapezoid or semicircular. Separate corner sections can be constructed too.
